Tessa Thompson (born October 3, 1983 as Tessa Dunnington) is an American actress best known by Veronica Mars fans for playing the role of Jackie Cook. She has also appeared in When a Stranger Calls (2006), For Colored Girls (2010), and Make It Happen (2008).
Daughter of singer-songwriter Marc Anthony Thompson of the New York based band "Chocolate Genius", Tessa was "discovered" as a child walking down Hollywood Blvd. with her father. Of African-American, Mexican, Caucasian, and Central American Descent, her great-grandfather, actor/musician Bobby Ramos, was one of the first Mexican-Americans to have his own television show (Latin Cruise on KTLA).
